briefly:
thursday: the kids and i took the bus into seattle (fairly easy) and went down to the pike place market. we walked around, tried to stay out of the drizzle and got the yummiest (hot & fresh) mini cinammon sugar donuts EVER from the daily dozen. we also had some awful pad thai. we took the bus home and then that night the kids and i had dinner with r's cousins (caleb & danielle)
friday: we drove to the airport and picked up amanda, took the bus downtown, had more donuts, tried to stay out of the drizzle by exploring nearly every floor of macys. that evening we had a wonderful dinner at my cousin erica's.
saturday: went to the bakery nouveau for pasteries. seriously GO if you get the chance. then we took the ferry to bainbridge island for my cousin's baby shower. when we got back amanda and the kids and i went to caleb and danielle's place and hung out with his three sisters and their partners, played games, toasted marshmallows.
sunday: caleb and danielle took us to their church. YES. i went to church. then we went out for lunch and amanda and the kids and i went downtown (again) for the bodies the exhibition. SO COOL. GO SEE THIS! parker found it quite fascinating. okay, then we had more donuts and drove to caleb's parents house (lynn and jan) for a wonderful dinner and birthday celebration for lynn.
i'll fill in all the details when i have more than two seconds. in any case, i will tell you that r's family is being beyond wonderful to the kids and me. seriously. these are true christians in the best sense.
